Video Feeds for Roku and Amazon Fire TV Apps

DynTube turns the published videos in a selected project into a feed that a Roku channel or Amazon Fire TV application can read. Use the Roku JSON feed or Fire TV Media RSS feed as the catalogue source in the application you build with the platform's current developer tools.

Choose your feed format

  • Roku feed — JSON containing published video metadata, media sources, thumbnails, genres, provider name, and feed update information.
  • Amazon Fire TV feed — MRSS XML containing published video metadata, media URLs, thumbnails, duration, language, and managing-editor information.

Prepare the DynTube project

  1. Create or choose the project that will supply the TV catalogue.
  2. Upload videos and wait until each intended item is published.
  3. Complete useful titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and other metadata displayed by the TV experience.
  4. Choose a stable sort order and review how it affects the catalogue.
  5. Create the platform-specific feed under More tools in the DynTube dashboard.

Connect and validate the feed

Copy the generated feed URL into your Roku or Fire TV application configuration. Open that URL directly first and confirm its format, title, and published items. Then test the complete application on target TV hardware, including navigation, playback, captions, artwork, and catalogue refresh behavior.

Feed updates

DynTube renders the feed from current published project data when the URL is requested. Changes become available in a successful later feed response after relevant video processing and publication. The TV application displays them after its next feed fetch, subject to platform or network caching.
