Multistream
Go live on your website and everywhere else at once
Publish once from your encoder. DynTube plays the stream on your own page and sends the same broadcast on to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch or any other RTMP destination, so your website is the home of the event and the platforms bring people to it.
One broadcast, on your site and your channels
Why multistream
Why not just go live on one platform?
Your audience is spread out. Running a separate stream for each place doubles the work and the upload.
Without control
A stream per platform
Several encoders, several keys, several things to watch.
- Your upload bandwidth is split between every stream
- Viewers on your website are an afterthought
- Each platform shows its own recommendations beside you
- One dropped stream is easy to miss
On your own terms
Multistream from DynTube
One upload, many destinations.
- Your encoder sends one stream to DynTube
- Your own page plays it in your branded player
- DynTube forwards it to each destination you add
- One place to start, stop and check the broadcast
How it works
How does multistreaming with DynTube work?
Three parts, set up once per stream.
- Publish onceIngest
- OBS, Wirecast or a hardware encoder publishes to DynTube over RTMP, RTMPS or SRT, using the server URL and stream key from the dashboard.
- Your page plays itYour website
- The stream plays on your own pages in the DynTube player, with your branding and your domain rules, while it goes out to the other platforms.
- DynTube forwards itDestinations
- Add each destination’s RTMP or RTMPS server and stream key to the live stream. How many destinations you can add depends on your plan. Once saved, a destination’s key is hidden.

Questions
Multistream questions
Direct answers, within what the product does today.
What is multistreaming?
Multistreaming, also called simulcasting, sends one live broadcast to several places at once. With DynTube the broadcast plays on your own website and is forwarded to the other platforms you add, so you publish from your encoder only once.
How many destinations can I stream to?
It depends on your plan. The live streaming pricing page shows the number of multistream destinations each live plan includes; the dashboard shows your limit when you add destinations.
Which platforms can I multistream to?
Any platform that accepts an RTMP or RTMPS stream with a server URL and stream key, including YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. You take the server and key from the platform and add them to your DynTube live stream.
Does multistreaming use more of my upload bandwidth?
No. Your encoder sends one stream to DynTube, and DynTube does the forwarding. That is the main difference from running a separate stream for each platform from your own computer.
