Sermon live streaming
Sermon live streaming that brings people to your website, not away from it
Your congregation should land on your own page on Sunday morning, beside your notices and your sermon archive, not on a social feed with an autoplaying video from somebody else. Stream the service from the laptop at the sound desk, and keep the recording for the people who missed it.
Sunday service, live on your own website
The problem
Why stream services on your own website rather than social media?
Social platforms are free and easy, and they treat your service as content in their feed. Streaming to your own website keeps the service, the notices and the next step in one place you control.
Without control
A service in someone else’s feed
Your livestream sits beside recommendations, adverts and comments you did not choose.
- Members are one tap from an unrelated video during the sermon.
- Your notices, giving page and connect card are somewhere else.
- The archive lives in the platform’s library, under its rules.
On your own terms
A service on your own page
The player sits on your own page, inside your layout, with your branding and your next steps beside it.
- One page for the stream, this week’s notices and how to get involved.
- Recordings go into your own sermon library, not a third-party channel.
- No unrelated video queued up to play next during the sermon.
How it works
What do you need to live stream a service?
The pieces a volunteer team actually touches, from the sound desk to the congregation’s phones.
- An encoder at the deskIngest
- OBS Studio on the sound-desk laptop, or a hardware encoder, publishes to DynTube over RTMP, RTMPS or SRT using the server URL and stream key from the dashboard.
- The player on your websitePlayback
- Viewers watch over HLS in the DynTube player, embedded on your own page. List your own domains and a copied embed does not simply play elsewhere.
- Replays on a scheduleScheduling
- Schedule a recorded service to play as a live stream once or on a recurring pattern, so a later congregation or another time zone gets a set start time.
- A sermon library that fills itselfRecording
- Turn on recording for a stream and, where your plan includes it, each service is saved into a project you choose. Recording is opt-in, never automatic.
For ministries
What else helps a service stream well?
Small details that matter when the stream is run by volunteers on a Sunday morning.
Private links for members-only events
Share a members’ meeting, a prayer night or a training session through a private link, and rotate or revoke it when it should stop working.
Who actually watched
See stream sessions, unique and concurrent viewers and watch time for each service, alongside your on-demand sermon views.
Analytics
On YouTube and Facebook too
Stream the service to your own website and, at the same time, to YouTube, Facebook or another RTMP destination. How many destinations you can add depends on your plan.
Sermons on demand
Recorded services join your sermon library and play through the same player and page as the livestream.

Questions
Sermon live streaming questions
Direct answers, within what the product does today.
What equipment do you need to live stream a sermon?
A computer running OBS Studio, a camera, an audio feed from your sound desk and a reliable upload connection. OBS is free and enough for most services. Point it at the server URL and stream key from the dashboard, and test at the time of day you will actually stream.
Are our services recorded automatically?
No. Recording is something you turn on for a stream, and it saves into a project you choose where your plan includes recording. Turn it on once for your weekly service stream and confirm it is active before a service you cannot repeat.
Can we keep some events for members only?
Yes. Embed the stream on a page only members can reach, list your own domains so the embed does not play elsewhere, or share a private link that you can rotate or revoke. Access controls reduce unwanted viewing; they cannot stop a member sharing what they watch.
What does sermon live streaming cost?
Live is priced on concurrency and delivery. The live streaming pricing page shows the published live plans from the current catalogue; a ministry with an unusual event, such as a large conference, can request terms there.
