WordPress video hosting

WordPress video hosting with nothing to install

Keep WordPress for your pages. Let DynTube store, prepare and stream the video—adaptive quality, an ad-free player under your brand and optional delivery controls—then paste one embed code where the video belongs.

The problem

Why not just upload video to the WordPress Media Library?

The Media Library serves video the way it serves an image. That is fine for a short clip and a quiet page.

Without control

Video in the Media Library

One large file from your web host.

  • Every viewer downloads the same quality, whatever their connection
  • Busy pages compete with your site for the host’s bandwidth
  • The file URL is easy to copy and share
  • Backups and migrations carry gigabytes of media

On your own terms

Video on DynTube, embedded in WordPress

A stream served away from your host.

  • Adaptive HLS picks a quality per viewer
  • Delivery happens on DynTube, not your web server
  • Optional encrypted HLS and domain rules, where your plan allows
  • Your WordPress install stays small

Set-up

How do I embed a DynTube video in WordPress?

Three steps in the editor you already use. External embedding depends on your plan.

  1. 01

    Copy the Recommended embed code

Open the video in your DynTube dashboard, choose Embed and copy the snippet marked Recommended—the responsive iframe with the video’s embed key already filled in.

  2. 02

Paste it into a Custom HTML block

In the block editor use a Custom HTML block—not the Video, Embed or Paragraph block. In the classic editor paste on the Text tab. In Elementor, Divi or Beaver Builder use the HTML or Code widget.

  3. 03

    Preview, publish, check logged out

Use the block’s Preview, update the page, then open it in a private window to see exactly what visitors see.

What you get

What the video gains when DynTube serves it

  • Adaptive streaming

Each upload is processed into adaptive HLS, so playback suits the viewer’s connection.

  • An ad-free, branded player

No third-party ads or recommendations; appearance and behaviour are configurable per project.

  • Optional delivery controls

Encrypted on-demand HLS and allowed domains, where your plan and project are configured for them.

  • Captions

Attach WebVTT or SRT per language; automatic captions are a separate metered workflow.

  • Viewing reports

Views, watch time, completion, geography and device, where your plan includes analytics.

  • Channels and galleries

Embed a saved channel to show a set of videos on one page with the same Custom HTML method.

Questions

WordPress video hosting questions

Is there a DynTube WordPress plugin or shortcode?

No. DynTube does not publish a WordPress plugin or shortcode. The supported route is the embed code from your dashboard pasted into a Custom HTML block, which means one less plugin to update and nothing that can break on a WordPress upgrade.

Why did WordPress strip my embed code?

Saving raw HTML needs the unfiltered_html capability. On a standard site Administrators and Editors have it; on multisite only Super Admins do by default, and some managed hosts restrict it. Ask someone with that capability to paste the code, or adjust the role.

Why is the player blank on my live site?

Check three things: the video has finished processing, your plan includes external embedding, and no performance plugin is lazy-loading or deferring the iframe. If your project restricts domains, the page’s domain must be on the allowed list.

Will this stop people downloading my videos?

It removes the easy routes when you enable the controls: there is no single file to right-click and save, and domain rules stop the embed working on other sites. No setting makes video impossible to record.

Upload a video you already publish, swap the embed on one page, and look at it on a phone.
