DynTube Projects

A project groups related media and defines the defaults used when new uploads are processed and played. Choose the project type and region deliberately, then configure output, player, protection, transcription, and source-retention settings for the workflow.

Create the right project first

Start creation from the video-project or audio-project entry point because the type is set by that choice and cannot be changed later. Give the project a useful name, select an available region, and ensure a video project has at least one output—HLS or MP4—enabled before saving.

Know when settings apply

Processing and transcoding settings are captured when an upload starts. Changing them normally affects future uploads rather than rebuilding existing media. Player and playback defaults can also have their own inheritance or bulk-sync behavior, so review the detailed editing guide before applying a project-wide change.

Project guides

  • How to Create a Project — choose video or audio, region, output, and initial settings.
  • How to Edit Project Settings — understand Details, Player, Video Options, Transcoding, AI Transcriptions, and Audio tabs.
  • How to Save Original Source Files — retain future uploaded masters separately from processed playback output.

Before a high-impact change

  • Confirm the project type and account plan entitlements.
  • Check whether the setting applies to future uploads, existing media, or both.
  • Record intentionally different subproject settings before using a bulk sync.
  • Test one new upload and its published playback before a large import.
  • Treat the success confirmation as proof that the setting was saved.

After project configuration, continue with video upload and embed guidance, move existing videos only through the supported project workflow, and configure signed links, origins, encryption, or DRM for private playback. Saving original uploads is separate from allowing viewers to download produced MP4 output.
