Video Options and Embeds
DynTube video behavior comes from the published asset, its project settings, the player or embed, and account-level controls. When changing an option, test the complete published page because a correct video setting can still be affected by an origin rule, browser policy, or integration.
How do allowed website origins work?
Open Settings → Global (/settings/global) to add the websites authorized to embed protected playback using the origin format accepted by the current Dashboard. Use a non-empty allowlist when domain restriction is part of your security model. Keep the account-level option that allows encryption keys on all origins disabled so it does not bypass that boundary.
Test the exact production hostname, including any required subdomain. Do not assume a URL path wildcard is equivalent to an origin: browser origins are based on scheme, host, and port rather than a page directory. Test staging and production separately if both must play the video.
Which protection option should I choose?
Use AES-128 encryption or DRM according to the project, plan entitlement, and devices you need to support. Pair the selected mode with signed links and allowed origins for private delivery. Add watermarking or Screen Shield where the content risk and supported workflow justify it.
Which source format is best?
A clean MP4 with broadly supported video and audio codecs is a practical upload source. Keep the frame size and bitrate appropriate for the intended output, preserve aspect ratio, and avoid repeated lossy re-encoding. DynTube then processes the source into streamable output according to the project configuration.
Why does processing time vary?
Duration, frame size, frame rate, codec, source complexity, output ladder, and queue demand all affect processing. A long high-resolution source with several outputs requires more work than a short standard-resolution clip. Track the asset's processing state and wait for publication before testing final playback.
Why is autoplay not starting?
Browsers commonly restrict autoplay with sound. Muted autoplay is more widely accepted, but the result can still depend on the browser, device, power settings, and whether the viewer has interacted with the page. Design the page with a visible play control even when autoplay is requested.
How do I embed a video in a page builder?
- Copy the supported DynTube iframe or JavaScript embed for the published video.
- Add the page builder's HTML or embed component.
- Paste the code without allowing the editor to rewrite its attributes or script.
- Publish or preview on an allowed hostname, then test desktop and mobile playback.
- If the builder strips scripts, use the iframe method or the builder's documented custom-code area.
How many videos can I publish?
Capacity depends on the current plan's storage, processing, asset, and feature allowances—not a universal videos-per-terabyte formula. File sizes and durations vary widely. Use the account usage view and current plan catalogue, and discuss unusually large numbers of short assets with support before a bulk import.
