How to Choose a DynTube Plan

Choose a plan from the current DynTube catalogue by matching four things: the library you will store, the viewing you expect to deliver, the new media you will process, and the product features your workflow requires. Plan labels alone are less useful than these workload inputs.

1. Estimate your stored video library

Add the source videos you expect to keep and allow for processed HLS renditions and supporting assets. Source size is not the final stored size because the output depends on duration, bitrate, resolution ladder, captions, audio, and project settings. Include near-term growth rather than sizing only for today's library.

2. Estimate monthly viewer delivery

Use watch hours and a realistic average delivered bitrate to create a normal and busy-month range. A launch, live event, new course cohort, or embedded campaign can create a sharper peak than your annual average. DynTube's bandwidth calculator can turn those assumptions into a planning estimate.

3. Account for uploads and processing

A large migration can process far more new media than a stable library even when both end with the same stored size. Check current processing or upload allowances and schedule large imports with enough headroom. Deleting active media does not necessarily reset every rolling usage measure immediately.

4. Confirm the features you need

  • Video encryption or DRM and the project-level configuration each requires.
  • Signed or expiring links and allowed-origin controls for private delivery.
  • Player branding, subtitles, alternate audio, analytics, or customer-level reporting.
  • API access and browser, server, or URL upload workflows.
  • Live streaming, recording, scheduling, or other specialist capabilities.

Feature availability can depend on plan entitlement and project configuration. Confirm a critical feature on the current pricing page or with DynTube before choosing solely on storage or bandwidth.

When should I change plans?

Review your plan before a predictable traffic increase, a library migration, or a new workflow that needs another entitlement. Also review sustained actual usage after launch. The subscription screen should show the price and timing that apply to an upgrade or other change before confirmation.

A practical selection checklist

  1. Write down current library size and expected growth.
  2. Estimate normal and peak monthly watch hours.
  3. List the protection, player, analytics, API, and live features that are mandatory.
  4. Compare those values with the current pricing catalogue.
  5. Leave operating headroom and ask support to validate unusual or high-growth workloads.
