Pricing
Automatic subtitles pricing
Subtitling is metered on the audio it processes, not on the size of your library. That makes the cost of subtitling a back catalogue and the cost of keeping up with new publishing two quite different questions.
Published rate card
Subtitle volumes and monthly-equivalent pricing
Choose monthly or yearly billing and compare the processing volume produced by the same published per-minute, per-language rate. The custom slider helps size a back catalogue or publishing schedule that does not match a preset tier.

Compare StreamAI volumes side by side
The same published rate card as the volumes above, at the cadence you have selected. These are processing volumes, not hosting plans — they carry no catalogue plan row.
Scroll the table sideways to compare every volume. The criterion column stays in place.

A published rate card, not a checkout price. Minutes are counted per language and are shown for the billing term shown in the row. Any terms you are offered come to you in writing.

Set the amount, see the minutes
The rate does not change with volume — $0.005 per minute per language is the published figure the tiers above are built from. Move the amount to see what it buys.
What that buys
$200/ month
$200 billed monthly
40,000
minutes per language, per month
$5.00 per 1,000 minutes
A published rate card, not a checkout price. Minutes are counted per language, so a video processed into three languages uses three times its duration. StreamAI is an add-on to a hosting plan — see hosting pricing for the plan it sits on. Sending a request prices, reserves and charges nothing; any terms you are offered come to you in writing.

Back catalogue and ongoing publishing are different costs
Most people ask one question and mean two. Separating them is what makes an accurate quote possible.
The back catalogue
A one-off volume: everything already published that you want captioned. It is usually the larger number and it happens once.
Ongoing publishing
A recurring volume: the hours you add each month. This is the number that decides which cadence and size of plan actually fits.
Languages, multiplied
Each output language is a separate pass over the same audio. Two languages on a one-hour recording is two hours of processing.
What varies the result
This is automatic speech recognition. Clear audio transcribes well; heavy background noise, overlapping speakers and specialist vocabulary need review before publishing.
The model
How subtitle processing is metered
01
Minutes of audio
Duration of the audio read, not file size or video resolution. A one-hour recording is one hour of processing regardless of how it was encoded.
02
Per language
The original transcription is one pass. Each translated language is another pass over the same recording.
03
Monthly or yearly
Chosen when the plan is set up. Steady publishing and burst publishing suit different cadences, which is worth saying in your request.
Before you request it
Subtitling attaches to a hosting plan
Subtitles are generated from videos hosted with us and are delivered by the same player and embed, so this is an add-on to a DynTube hosting plan rather than a standalone service.
If you are not hosting with us yet, start with the plan cards on the pricing page — they render the current billing catalogue — and add subtitling once your library is in place.
Two valid caption workflows
Generate subtitles or upload the files you already have
StreamAI is useful when captions do not exist. It does not replace a professional captioning or translation workflow you already trust.
Automatic first pass
Generate a timed transcript from the hosted video audio, then review names, numbers, technical terms and cue timing before publishing.
Translated tracks
Create additional language tracks from the source transcript. Each language is metered as a separate processing pass.
SRT and WebVTT upload
Upload your own subtitle file per language when it already exists. DynTube accepts SRT or WebVTT and converts SRT timing to WebVTT for delivery.
One player and embed
Whether generated or uploaded, caption tracks stay attached to the video and appear through the same player embedded on your page.

Automatic subtitle pricing FAQs
How is automatic subtitle usage calculated?
Multiply the audio duration by the number of language passes. One 60-minute video transcribed in its source language and translated into two more languages uses 180 processing minutes.
Is the rate shown on this page?
Yes. The cards and custom estimator above derive their figures from one published per-minute, per-language rate and the published yearly discount, so the displayed totals cannot drift from the rate used to calculate them.
Do I need video hosting as well?
Yes. Automatic subtitles process videos in your DynTube library and deliver the resulting tracks through the DynTube player, so this is an add-on to a hosting plan rather than a standalone transcription product.
Can I upload captions instead of paying for generation?
Yes. Upload a WebVTT or SRT file for each language. This is the right route when captions were prepared elsewhere or your content needs a human-reviewed transcription workflow.
Are generated subtitles ready to publish without review?
Treat them as machine output. Clear audio may need few corrections, but proper nouns, numbers, specialist vocabulary, accents, background noise and overlapping speakers can require editing.
Price the library, then test one representative video
Estimate the back catalogue and monthly publishing separately, generate one track, review it, and confirm the workflow before processing the full library.
